URGENT APPEAL – Nacro SWITCH under threat

Nacro SWITCH (Supporting Women in the Community and Home) Big Lottery funding ceases on 31 March 2018. Without further funds, this vital service will close. Help us keep supporting vulnerable women in Tees Valley. Donate now.

The Nacro SWITCH project provides comprehensive packages of support to vulnerable women aged 16 and older who face a range of health, social, financial, educational or housing needs, to enable them to regain positive control of their lives.

We work with them to build confidence, self-esteem and to address issues such as social isolation, domestic violence and drug and alcohol abuse, and support them to get into education, training or work. We have a team of outreach workers dedicated to delivering one-to-one work, group work, training and wellbeing workshops. The project also has a very successful mentoring programme, pairing trained volunteers with vulnerable women within our communities.
