Supporting people who are homeless

We know that people become homeless for many different reasons. This includes relationship breakdown, mental health or substance misuse problems, unemployment, abuse, poverty or a lack of affordable housing.

Many women experiencing homelessness have escaped abusive relationships and people can be forced into homelessness when they leave the armed forces, care or prison. It can be devastating.

We understand that everyone’s experience is different, so we take a personalised approach and build on people’s strengths. We have extensive experience housing and supporting young people and those leaving care, women, ex-service personnel and people leaving prison.

We run a range of services to help prevent people becoming homeless, and support those who have experienced homelessness to build a pathway towards independence.

Service spotlight: Nacro Homelessness Prevention Conwy

Our housing service helps people who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless to find housing and start to rebuild their lives.

The service focuses on helping people find stable housing through private landlords. We help to breakdown the barriers to the private rental sector by sourcing deposits, securing rent in advance, and organising furniture for people’s new homes.
