Our timeline of change

See how Nacro has made a real difference over 60 years.

We started working in rehabilitation for people who had contact with the criminal justice system, but have since expanded to a national charity with services in housing, education, justice, health and wellbeing – working alongside people facing challenging circumstances to provide the support and skills needed for them move on with their lives.

Nacro’s 60th anniversary timeline

We continue to strive for a society where everyone has the chance to succeed and the support they need to achieve their potential. Where a safe secure home, a decent education and a second chance when things go wrong are the foundations we can all build our lives on.

In our 60th year and into the future, we continue to step up to this challenge. We will help more people and make real change.

Nacro Strategy 2025-28: We won’t walk by

“Every day, we don’t accept what we see, we won’t walk by. In our classrooms, in our homes and in our support groups we see the potential. We see the desire to take a different path and we support thousands of people to get back on their feet, believe in themselves, stay out of trouble, get a job, get a home, start a family, be the person they want to be.”
