What we do
This service provides structured community support for people in the East Riding with drug and/or alcohol issues. This is a collaboration between Humber Teaching NHS Foundation Trust Alcohol and Drug Service and Nacro East Riding Partnership.
The Nacro Substance Misuse team support people who are leaving police custody, prison, or court, and includes those referred by Probation or who are self‑referring.
We support those who have found themselves in the criminal justice system and who require resettlement, harm reduction, and support to maintain long‑term positive change.
We support people who:
- Use drugs and/or alcohol.
- May require opiate substitute medication.
- Are abstinent but needing ongoing support.
- May require anti-craving medications for alcohol.
- Have been ordered by the Court to address their drug and/or alcohol use.
- Have specific licence conditions.
Our Recovery Practitioners offer extensive recovery expertise. The team deliver interventions using CBT, motivational interviewing, person‑centred approaches, and some draw on lived experience.
