Education and skills courses in Bolton
At Nacro we believe in supporting all of our students to be the best. Our courses are delivered by friendly teachers and specialists in small groups who give each student the time and care they deserve. That’s why our students outperform industry averages and why 8 out of 10 go on to work, an apprenticeship or further learning when they leave.
We are England’s largest independent training provider of education and skills to 16–18 year olds and are rated Good by Ofsted.
What we offer
At Nacro Bolton, we build strong, supportive relationships to help you feel safe, motivated and valued. We offer:
- Places for local young people to achieve qualifications
- Professional, experienced and dedicated staff
- Small class sizes
- Face-to-face learning, feedback and support for every learner

Nacro is completely different to what I expected. The teachers are down to earth and you can have genuine conversations with them. I always have laugh and learn something when I come to college.
If you’re aged 16+ you can choose to complete a work placement in an area you’re interested in.

Nacro promotes a caring and aspirational culture that helps learners to make good progress, achieve well and take positive next steps in their education and employment. Qualification achievement rates are very strong, 8 out 10 qualifications were achieved in 2018/19, and substantially higher than sector averages.
We have worked with Bolton employers for the last 10 years. This way, local employers get to enrich their workforce at the same time as our learners get invaluable work experience, for the long-term benefit of the community around us.
Nationally, over 95% of Nacro students have taken part in work experience. Combined with a reference from the employer and their qualifications, this makes our learners job-ready. We have partnerships with 160 employers across a broad range of sectors and recently were selected as a model of best practice by the Learning and Work Institute for our engagement work.
