Whether you’re still at school or you want to get into further education or work, there’s a place for you at Nacro.

14-16 year olds

14-16 year olds
  • We’re not like school. We’ll help you choose a workplace skill, like mechanics or hairdressing, which you can do in one of our workshops. When you’re ready, we can help you apply for a job – or you can stay with us and do another course.

16-18 year olds

School leavers
  • It doesn’t matter what grades you left school with. At Nacro, we’ll help you find the skills you need to apply for a job or carry on learning. Many of our courses are vocational, which means you can learn a trade like construction or catering. If you’re ready to start work, we can offer you a traineeship, which includes a work placement in a job you’re interested in doing.

Adults 19+

Adults
  • If you’re 19 or over, we’ll help you gain the skills you need to find a job. We’ve got a range of courses designed specially for adults. Learning is in small groups and gives you the skills that employers are looking for.

Getting ready for work

At Nacro, we want you to be ready for employment. That’s one of the reasons we offer traineeships to 16-24 year olds. Tailored specifically to your individual needs, they allow you to complete a work placement for up to six months in a job of your choice. When you finish you’ll leave with a reference from your employer. Traineeships can often lead to a paid apprenticeship too. Find out more about our traineeships here.

Learning ‘on the job’

If you’re interested in the world of work, we can offer you an apprenticeship. We can also help you find a job. Find out more about our apprenticeships here.

24+ Learning Loans

You can apply for this to help with costs of a college or training course if you’re 24 or older. You won’t have to pay anything back until you earn more than £21k a year. The loan doesn’t depend on your income and there are no credit checks.
