Our construction course allows learners to develop a variety of skills. Learners will be taught key health and safety, tool identification, how to construct a brick wall, block walling, as well as an introduction to the industry.

If you are undecided on your future or we don’t offer the course that meets your career goals then our Get Set For Work courses will offer you real life experience in a setting of your choice.
If you would like to care for people, then a job in health or social care can be very rewarding.
Our Get Set! courses accelerate a student’s learning and enable you to identify and make progress towards your aspirations. We combine vocational learning with essential English and mathematics qualifications, enriching experiences, and workplace encounters to equip you for career success.

We tailor our teaching to your individual needs. Our courses are taught by experienced, qualified teachers, in a safe, friendly environment for all students. Small class sizes mean we can provide each student with the time and attention they deserve to support them throughout their studies.
We also offer students the opportunity to expand their skills in preparation for further or higher levels of study through enrichment activities as part of our Skills Ready provision. For those wanting to start their career early, our Work Ready provision puts work experience at the heart of programme delivery.

At school there were so many kids you couldn’t get a word in with the teachers, but at Nacro I get more help, more one-to-one support. It’s calm, there’s no people running up the hallways, screaming. Nacro also got me a diagnosis of dyslexia but now I know I’ve got that, I don’t put everything down to it. It empowers me to overcome issues, to try and do other stuff, even if something sets you back it makes you want to go forward, not stop.

We work within our community, establishing partnerships and helping to bring the local area closer together. Because of our partnerships, every learner has the chance to take part in valuable work experience and engage with a number of local businesses in the Stoke area.
At Nacro Stoke Education Centre, we’re proud to support our local community. We regularly take part in fundraising opportunities for other causes as part of our enrichment programme.
Giving learners the chance to run market stalls within Stoke town centre, paint the local community centre, and giving support to toddler groups to name just a few. All aimed at building confidence and expanding their CVs.
