New for 2023-24! This course will cover a range of multi skills including bricklaying, painting and decorating, plastering and basic construction.

Our Get Set! courses accelerate a student’s learning and enable you to identify and make progress towards your aspirations. We combine vocational learning with essential English and mathematics qualifications, enriching experiences, and workplace encounters to equip you for career success.
At Nacro Education Middlesbrough, our courses are crafted to enable students to:
*GCSE/Functional Skills English and maths are only required if you haven’t already gained a grade 4 or above.
We tailor our teaching to your individual needs. Our courses are taught by experienced, qualified teachers, in a safe, friendly environment for all students. Small class sizes mean we can provide each student with the time and attention they deserve to support them throughout their studies.
We also offer learners the opportunity to expand their skills in preparation for further or higher levels of study through enrichment activities as part of our Skills Ready provision. For those wanting to start their career early, our Work Ready provision puts work experience at the heart of programme delivery.

I’ve finally been able to get my head down and get into studying, it’s been a journey, I matured up, the tutors at Nacro really helped me to see why learning is fun and I can enjoy it. We work within our community, establishing partnerships and helping bring the local area closer together.
Because of our partnerships, every student has the chance to take part in valuable work experience and engage with a number of local businesses. These include: Stockton Borough Council, Tees Valley Network, Middlesbrough Council, Redcar Borough Council, Hartlepool Borough Council, Middlesbrough Hair Salon, RBC SEND Service, Middlesbrough Valeting Services, Horizon’s Trust, and Halfords.
We have a fantastic partnership with Jacob & Erik Hairdressing, giving learners valuable work experience weekly. They have also offered apprenticeships to learners beyond Nacro Education, and we look forward to working with them for the 2022-23 academic year.
At Nacro Middlesbrough Education Centre , we are proud to offer landscaping maintenance as part of our Work Ready Level 1 course. We have partnered with Stockton Borough Council who provide our learners with tasks around the local community, including maintaining public paths, right of ways, public servitude paths and roads, tree surgeon work, stile building and repairs, and road maintenance.
Giving our students the benefit of learning new core skills including the use of basic tools, maintenance skills and beginners’ joinery. The biggest benefit is the work experience that our learners gain, preparing them for future education and their careers.
We offer additional courses to all of our learners, giving multiple opportunities to expand their CVs.
