Maria’s journey with Nacro: Freedom from fear and a new life

The Nacro team at Women in Safe Homes (WISH) Greater Manchester, a partnership between Nacro and Women’s Aid, provided tailored, trauma-informed support to meet Maria where she was at. Maria now has a safe and stable place to live and a brighter future.

Carl’s journey with Nacro: from prison and sofa surfing to having a place to call home

After being released from prison, Carl had nowhere to call home and was sofa-surfing. His children were in his parents’ care until he could find stable, suitable accommodation. Carl was working with children’s services and Nacro’s Accommodation Advice and Support Services to find the right place to live so he could get back on his feet.

Norbert’s story

Norbert had a difficult time growing up and as a young man. He had struggles with alcohol and mental health issues. He was homeless before he was helped by Nacro into his own flat.

CAS-2: six months on
