Vocational training and apprenticeships (16-18) 

Developed in partnership with businesses, our Get Set! vocational courses and apprenticeships provide students aged 16-18 with the practical skills and work-based learning opportunities. Our approach aims to ensure students have the knowledge and confidence to progress onto higher levels of study or start their career. 

Apprenticeships

Our apprenticeships allow you to gain nationally recognised qualifications while earning a full-time wage.

We offer a range of education and training opportunities for students of different ages and abilities. The courses available depend on the centre and programme. 

Are Nacro Education courses free? 

Many of our courses are fully funded, but eligibility can depend on your age, circumstances and the course you want to study.

We offer a wide range of vocational courses, including subjects such as Animal Care, Construction, Childcare, Health and Social Care, Motor Vehicle, Sport and many more.

What is Get Set? 

Get Set! is our approach to learning that combines vocational training with English and maths, employability, enrichment and workplace opportunities. 

Will I get work experience? 

Work experience and workplace opportunities are an important part of our approach. Our vocational courses help students gain practical experience in real-world settings, with opportunities varying depending on the course and Education centre. 

Can I retake my GCSEs? 

We offer GCSE retake support for students who may not have achieved the grades they hoped for. Availability varies by centre. 

What support will I receive? 

Our centres offer a supportive learning environment, with smaller classes, experienced tutors and one-to-one support. Find out about the specialist support we provide for students with special educational needs and disabilities.
