What we do
Lewisham NEST offers housing and support to young men and women aged 16-25 years who are care-leavers and in need of housing in Lewisham. The service aims to prepare the young people for independent living.
The service consists of two sites:
- The first site is an Ofsted registered service which offers supported accommodation to 16-17 year olds. We offer five bed units with en-suite facilities, with a shared kitchen and communal facilities. The service is staffed 24 hours a day by our support workers.
- Our second site offers self-contained flats to 18-25 year olds and provides three hours of support per week. The focus is on supporting the young people to develop their independent living skills in preparation for living in their own properties.
We also provide floating support to the young people post-tenancy, to help them with the transition to living independently and to support them to sustain their tenancies.
Eligibility
To be eligible for this service a person must:
