Nacro responds to today’s (08.07.2025) annual report from HM Inspectorate of Prisons, Charlie Taylor. This year’s 2024-2025 HMIP Annual Report is an annual overview of the prison system through a lens of unannounced inspections, its findings draw on 83 reports published between 1 April 2024 and 31 March 2025, including information from inspections of 36 men’s prisons and two women’s prisons, as well as independent reviews of progress at 11 men’s prisons.
