With more than 50 years’ experience delivering services across England and Wales, we’ve seen first-hand the challenges and barriers people face and what can make a difference to individuals and communities.

Driving policy change

Our policy & research team draws on our frontline expertise, the expertise of the people we support, as well as a strong independent evidence base to influence change.  Our commitment is not only to provide support at an individual level but to prevent future generations from experiencing the same challenges, by influencing both practical and systemic change so that everyone can thrive no matter who they are.

We work collaboratively with other charities, think tanks, and with Government, local authorities and public and private sector partners to ensure that our influencing is impactful and creates meaningful change.

As part of our commitment to driving innovation and change within the areas of education, criminal justice, housing, and health and wellbeing, we publish reports, briefings, consultation responses, and case studies.
