What we do
Marian Parker House provides safe, welcoming and supportive accommodation for people who are homeless, at risk of homelessness, or need additional support to build and maintain their independence. The service is mixed gender. We are passionate about creating an environment where people feel respected, encouraged and able to take positive steps towards a more stable future.
We support people who may have multiple or complex needs, including experiences of rough sleeping, repeat homelessness, or other challenges that can make it difficult to maintain a home independently.
We provide:
- Safe and supportive accommodation with access to 24/7 support.
- Person-centred support tailored to each person’s needs, strengths, goals and aspirations.
- Practical support to develop independent living and tenancy skills, including budgeting, cooking, household management and maintaining accommodation.
- Support with health and wellbeing, including help to access health, mental health and specialist services.
- Help to build confidence, resilience and essential life skills.
- Support to access education, training, volunteering and employment opportunities.
- Support to develop community connections, positive relationships and strong support networks.
- Help to address financial issues, including budgeting, benefits and managing money.
- Move-on support to help residents prepare for and secure suitable longer-term accommodation.
The service contains 9 self-contained flats and is staffed 24 hours a day. Each flat provides self-contained living accommodation, including a fully fitted kitchen with integrated appliances. We also have a shared laundry and a communal lounge.
