Commissioned Resettlement Service
About the service
In May 2021, the Government awarded £195 million to 26 organisations across England and Wales to provide support services to people under probation supervision, such as employment and housing advice, known at the Commissioned Resettlement Service. Through this, we are contracted to deliver accommodation services in South Yorkshire, East Midlands, West Midlands and North Wales, and personal wellbeing support services (mental health, family and relationships) in Suffolk, Northamptonshire and Hertfordshire.
In partnership with other organisations (location dependent), we offer holistic services to meet the accommodation needs of men (aged 18+) on probation.
These services are tailored to individual needs and designed to prevent homelessness by supporting people to maintain accommodation they already have, or to find new accommodation, as well as ensuring their wide range of housing needs are responded to.
These services are delivered in community settings where our service users are based. We also have staff based in prisons across the region and can arrange to work with people currently inside these prisons where necessary. We make sure we take all reasonable steps to ensure that the service is fully accessible to those who are eligible to receive it.
How do I make a referral?
We can only accept referrals to this service via the online Refer and Monitor System. If you want to refer service users that are very high risk, or have high support needs, we will discuss the delivery options with you to see what would be most suitable.
For landlords We require the help and support of landlords in South Yorkshire, East Midlands, West Midlands and Wales to meet the housing demands and provide suitable accommodation for the people we support. In return, we will provide you with suitable tenants and provide all the necessary skills for these tenants to maintain a successful tenancy. We have access to a robust network of services to ensure there is the right amount of support for the tenant, and we can even provide rent deposits to ensure a successful transition into a new tenancy.
We offer comprehensive support packages so that the tenants can access support which targets their individual needs, and we also provide a dedicated point of contact for landlords should there be any issues you need to directly discuss with us.
This contract aims to support individuals who are under probation supervision, so this means not only will the service user receive support from Nacro, but probation will also offer them daily support in maintaining their tenancy.
In partnership with other organisations (location dependent), we offer holistic services to meet the personal wellbeing needs of men (aged 18+) on probation.
These services are tailored to individual needs in relation to interactions and relationships with family, friends and others and an ability to engage and participate in activities that will enhance their wellbeing.
