Nacro young people showcase work at Koestler Trust’s art exhibition

London’s Southbank Centre has partnered up with the Koestler Trust for its UK exhibition I’m Still Here, showcasing artwork by ex-offenders, secure patients and detainees from the 2018 Koestler Awards, curated by prisoners’ families.
Seven young people from Nacro’s Bluebird House created this piece called The Mental Health Hydra. Each head represents one person’s interpretation of what mental health looks and feels like for them.

“This piece is exploding with energy and talent, especially from a group of under 18s. It shows a very important message about mental health.” (Julie, Curator)

The free exhibition runs until 4 November at the Royal Festival Hall in the Southbank Centre, and is open 10am-11pm daily.
