A successful public sector leader, primarily at national level, Jenni Douglas-Todd is experienced in developing effective boards, structural and organisational cultural change, collaborative partnerships, stakeholder and customer engagement. Her experience includes Non Executive Director of Hampshire Cricket Board and University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust as well as Investigating Committee Chair, General Dental Council.
She is experienced at working in regulatory environments and governance – setting up the governance arrangements for the police complaints system following introduction of the Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC); chair of 2 voluntary bodies taking both through governance reviews and change; reviewing the governance arrangements of a police authority moving it to 1 of the highest performing authorities; leading development of a South East England collaboration governance agreement; establishing new organisations; providing strategic alignment with organisational values and an understanding of organisational culture; developing and sustaining stakeholder and community engagement, critical for delivery organisations and for establishing effective partnership arrangements. In the Home Office, she led a cross-government public service agreement and so gained significant experience working across government departments with senior civil servants and ministers.
She has substantial experience leading successful, complex, change programmes, where value for money is fundamental and the interface with stakeholder/community engagement paramount to the organisation’s delivery. Her recent change experience includes leading a team with subject matter experts ranging from hard skills of management information and business processes, to soft skills of behaviour and culture.
