Nacro to take the lead on education and skills training at Rainsbrook

Published:

Nacro is delighted to have been selected to lead the delivery of the education and skills provision for children and young people at Rainsbrook Secure Training Centre (STC), a 76-bed STC in Northamptonshire.
Rated Good by Ofsted, Nacro will build on many years’ experience in the further education and skills sector across the country, working with children who face multiple or complex barriers to engagement in education.

Nacro will deliver a curriculum focused on progression and enabling children to succeed in learning in core subjects, through to vocational and technical courses, achieving  qualifications to enable them to take the next step.  Learners will be supported by a whole centre approach, placing education at the heart of future success.

Learners will also have the opportunity to pursue their interests and extend the curriculum through an enrichment programme including arts and sport, project-based work and to gain experience of work-ready skills through volunteering or placements.

Lisa Capper MBE, Principal and Director of Education at Nacro, said:

“We’re delighted to be named as preferred partners to deliver education and skills at Rainsbrook STC.

“At Nacro, we believe that a good-quality education is essential for children and young people to thrive and build a successful future.

“Our teachers will work tirelessly to help children and young people at Rainsbrook STC to make the most of opportunities to engage with learning and to and help them move on with their lives.”
