We are delighted to have supported Supporting Professionalism in Admissions (SPA) in the development of this excellent guidance on fair admissions of students with criminal records; we would encourage all higher education establishments to read it.
SPA are an independent and objective voice on UK higher education admissions and, like us, they understand that many young people who have made mistakes in their past face immense barriers to accessing the education which is key to them moving forward with their lives.

This guidance is timely as the government has recently launched an inquiry into the disclosure regime of youth criminal records.
