Nacro Director of Education and Skills, Lisa Capper, said:
“We are delighted that Nacro has been included within the new apprenticeship training provider register published by the Department for Education (DfE) and the Skills Finding Agency (SFA) earlier this month, which aims to ensure that apprenticeships are run only by the highest quality providers.

“From May 2017, the register will enable employers to choose their apprenticeship training delivery from a list of approved and rigorously tested providers that can provide training that is responsive to business and individual needs.

“At Nacro, we offer a wide range of educational opportunities for individuals aged 14 and upwards including apprenticeships with non-levy paying small and medium sized businesses.

“We also offer an alternative education programme for 16 to 25-year-olds in our education and skills centres located across the country, providing a holistic service through our experience in health, social justice and housing services for young people. Students at our 18 centres benefit from our expertise in supporting people who have experienced barriers to their participation in learning.

“We look forward to working closely with employers to secure apprenticeship opportunities for young people that will help them to progress into successful training and employment.”
