We are looking for sessional workers to support in the community, delivering group work and mentoring services as part of Nacro’s custody resettlement, group sessions and mentoring services, in the Essex CRC area.
You will be called on during busy periods, in periods of high staff annual leave. Should staff move on, you will be considered for more permanent positions.
Key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

- Deliver information, advice and guidance and to signpost, motivate and encourage all referrals to adopt a positive attitude and confidence to achieve resettlement goals
- Providing holistic mentoring support to service users on the day of release from custody to ensure smooth transition into the community
You will work with a recently-recruited group of reducing re-offending workers. They are based within prisons and in the community and there may be an opportunity to provide support to them in future, although the current priority is community delivery.
Previous experience of working with vulnerable and/or challenging individuals would be preferred.
Please note that this role is subject to a DBS and (where applicable) Enhanced Prison clearance.
The role may involve travel throughout Essex. An appropriate base will be agreed with you.
