Paul McDowell, Nacro’s Chief Executive, joined us at the end of 2009. He was previously Governor of HMP Brixton for three years.

He said: “I am excited to have the opportunity to lead Nacro. It has over 40 years' history of assisting offenders in their resettlement, influencing the development of criminal justice policy and leading the way in the education and training of ex-offenders and criminal justice professionals alike.

“Nacro is fully deserving of its reputation as the leading crime reduction charity. I will work hard to ensure Nacro continues to grow that well established reputation by delivering high quality value for money, efficient and effective services designed to assist the resettlement of offenders and to reduce crime.”
