About the service
Nacro Cymru Conwy Youth Resettlement Service helps young people in custody and those leaving custody to move on. The service is designed to help them find work and stable housing, to make a smooth transition between custody and the community and to reduce the likelihood of them reoffending by offering practical advice, tailored support and mentoring.
We provide:
• opportunities to re-engage with learning and gain qualifications
• the chance to develop new personal, social and vocational skills and address problems affecting their choices and behaviour
• help accessing housing, benefits and other services
• support to help meet the emotional challenges of leaving prison
What will I get out of it?
• a support plan structured to your individual needs
• emotional and practical support
• access to vocational skills
• expert help to ensure you get the support you need from other professionals and support agencies
• the chance to learn how to live independently
