About the service

Nacro Newcastle Apprenticeship Project helps young people to gain valuable experience in the workplace and work towards a recognised qualification. The service is designed to help young people achieve their potential and develop their talents and abilities by playing a key role in the organisation and learning on the job.

We provide:

• training and qualifications, including in animal care, motor vehicles, key skills, adult literacy and numeracy
• regular appraisals and support
• a wage or support to access Education Maintenance Allowance
• support with gaining qualifications such as NVQs, technical certificates or key skills

• advice and guidance about suitable employment, training or further education
• support to help you succeed in your apprenticeship and training
• a wage or access to the Education Maintenance Allowance
