About the service

Nacro Sandwell Entry 2 Learning helps young people who are not in education or work to learn new skills and obtain qualifications. The service is designed to prepare young people to move on and into further education, apprenticeships or work, by offering them training and qualifications in areas such as functional skills in maths, english, ICT and personal and social development.

We provide:

  • clear information and guidance on job and training options
  • support to help overcome barriers that are stopping people from working or training
  • support to improve employability skills, including vocational areas
  • help finding opportunities including work placements and college courses
  • access to training allowances and travel

What will I get out of it?

  • the opportunity to access further education, training and/or employment
  • advice and support on the best options for you
  • help to improve your chances of gaining employment
  • a chance to make the most of work placements in industries that interest you
  • access to financial help

Service information

Type of service: Education and employment advice

Participants must be between: 16 and 18

  • must be on the Not in Employment Education or Training (NEET) register
  • must be aged 16-18 (or up to 25 if LLD - learner with learning difficulties or disabilities)
