About the service

Nacro Services Darlington helps adults move towards finding work and a better lifestyle. The service is designed to help people find and keep work, by enabling them to access the education, skills, qualifications and support they need.

We provide:

• training in fuctional skills ,enlgish, maths and ICT and interpersonal skills, to develop confidence and increase employability

• job-search programmes practical skills trainining in a wide range of vocational workshops

• impartial information, advice and guidance on further education, training and work

• support to access other local services to meet additional needs such as housing and healthcare
  
• specialist information, advice and guidance for ex/offenders, and for those working with them
  
• information and support for employers

What will I get out of it?

• skills such as basic plastering, bricklaying, joinery, DIY, hairdressing and horticulture

• increased confidence, self esteem and motivation

• recognised credit based qualifications.

• improved communication, social and employability skills

• economic wellbeing

• support with healthy eating, dealing with substance misuse and keeping fit

• the chance to be involved in the design and delivery of the learning programme

Participants must be between: 14 and 24

young people who are still in compulsory education, want to join one of Nacro's training programmes or are at risk of offending.
