About the service

Nacro Pyramid Resettlement Project works with offenders in the Tees Valley, both in prison and on release.

Our prison-based staff work as part of an integrated resettlement team within HMP Holme House and HMP Kirklevington Grange.

We provide:

  • services to help prisoners prepare and make the transition from custody to community
  • support with accommodation and advice on many other resettlement issues, such as employment and benefits
  • community-based services in the Tees Valley
  • holistic and intensive support for prisoners on their release
  • support for offenders being supervised in the community by the National Probation Service
  • a volunteer mentoring programme, providing practical and emotional support for individuals both before and after release.

What will I get out of it?

  • support to be able to cope when released from custody
  • reduced likelihood of re-offending
  • increased ability to live and contribute postively to the community
  • sustainable accommodation and increased opportunities to gain employment, training or education
  • financial support and help to manage benefits and debts effectively
  • support networks for mental health, substance misuse and family issues
  • increased self-confidence and motivation
