About the service

Nacro Prospects Project helps people with drug problems to rebuild their lives. The service is designed to tackle the root causes of the problem, by providing practical and emotional support and advice. We provide:

  • a care plan tailored to the needs of each individual
  • where individuals continue to use drugs, information on harm reduction, for example, by not sharing needles
  • practical support to access services such as housing and health care
  • group work and one-to-one support to tackle emotional difficulties likely to lead to risk-taking behaviour.
  • in addition to literacy, numeracy and peer mentor training, service users will participate in a structured training programme which prepares and supports service users in positively engaging with Employment, Training or Educational opportunities and assist them to re-integrate in the community, resulting in improved lifestyles for themselves and their families.

Nacro provide impartial, relevant information, advice and guidance enabling service users to make informed choices for their future about further education, training and employment.
