About the service
Nacro Brighton Foundation Learning Programme is for young people who want to develop new skills and progress into work, an apprenticeship or college. We will provide a personalised programme of study to help you build the confidence and qualifications you need to achieve your potential and get ahead.
What will I get out of it?
Nacro will help you work towards accredited qualifications, find work experience placements and improve your employability skills. You’ll get full support and guidance from our trainers every step of the way. We can offer you qualifications in:
- functional skills, eg, in English, maths and ICT
- construction
- childcare
- art and design
- employability skills
- personal money management
- volunteering in the community
- health and safety in the workplace
You’ll develop confidence and new skills, including:
- interview skills
- reading and writing skills
- communication skills
- how to write a CV
- how to search for a job
These skills and qualifications will help improve your chances of finding and keeping work.

Type of service: Alternative education
Participants must be between: 16 and 18
The project is open to anyone:
- not in education
- available for 12-16 hours a week
- committed to getting a job, apprenticeship or going to college
