About the service
Nacro Surrey's TIE (Training into Employment) course helps young people who are not in education or work to learn new skills and obtain qualifications. The service is designed to prepare young people to move on into further education, apprenticeships or work, by offering them training and qualifications through a varied programme of creative activities including music, photography, painting, graffiti art, film making and much more.
We provide:
- clear information and guidance on job and training options
- support to help overcome barriers that are stopping people from working or training
- support to improve employability skills, including with gaining qualifications such as NVQs, technical certificates or key skills
- the chance for learners to gain a Trinity Arts Award.
- help finding opportunities including work placements and college courses
- the opportunity for learners to try a range of creative activities that they may not have previously experienced.
What will I get out of it?
- This course will give you the chance to obtain formal qualifications in numeracy and literacy
- You can obtain vocational qualifications that can help you towards a career in an industry that interests you
- You can benefit from support, advice and opportunities, such as work placements
