About the service

Nacro Surrey Leap4wards Project is for young people who want to develop new skills and progress into work, an apprenticeship or college. We’ll give you the confidence and the qualifications and drive that you need to achieve your full potential and get ahead.

What will I get out of it?

We’ll help you work towards accredited qualifications and find work experience placements in areas of work which interest you. You’ll get full support and guidance from our trainers every step of the way.

We can offer you qualifications in:

  • sport
  • art
  • preparation for the armed forces
  • employability
  • retail/customer services
  • health and safety
  • CSCS Cards
  • functional skills, including English, maths and ICT
  • personal and social development

You’ll develop new skills including:

  • interview skills
  • reading and writing skills
  • communication skills
  • how to write a CV
  • how to search for a job
  • fitness and sports
  • creative art

These skills and qualifications will help improve your chances of finding and keeping work.

Service information

Type of service: Education and employment advice

Participants must be between: 16 and 18

The project is open to young people:

  • not in education, training or employment
  • available for a minimum of 12 hours a week
  • committed to getting a job, apprenticeship or going to college

Intermediate course 15-20 weeks
Advanced course 25-30 weeks
