About the service

Nacro’s NEET (not in education, employment or training) brokerage programme delivers an intensive and flexible coaching & brokerage service for NEET young people in Ipswich. It focuses on 16-18 year olds who have learning difficulties/disabilities by helping them to overcome their barriers and progress into further education, employment or training.   

The learner has a personalised timetable of activities which may include learning workshops, leisure/team building activities in the community or embedded Functional skills if appropriate. The community learning activities are focused on opportunities in learning to up-skill & raise the confidence of learners in preparation for a work placement. Learners will be introduced gradually to the placement, and 1-1 support/coaching will be offered where appropriate.

What will I get out of it?

• At least one soft skill achievement e.g. increased self-confidence.
• Access to accredited learning.
• Access to a voluntary or part time employment placement.
• A unit credit.
• Progression into FE or training.
