About the service

Nacro Longton Entry into Employment Project helps offenders, ex-offenders and those at risk of offending by enabling them to access the education, skills, qualifications and support they need.

We provide:

  • training in basic skills, interpersonal skills, independent living skills (such as cookery) and construction skills in order to increase the confidence and employability of individuals
  • job-search programmes

What will I get out of it?

  • National Open College Network qualifications in construction, music, food and nutrition and life skills
  • Qualifications in health and safety, bicycle maintenance and sports leadership
  • City and Guilds literacy and numeracy qualifications
  • Support to increase your employability and basic skills and help your career development
  • Help with your social and personal skills and confidence

Service information

Type of service: Foundation training

Participants must be between: 16 and 19

  • 16-19 year olds who are not in employment, education or training including offenders and ex-offenders
  • Anyone whose qualifications are below level 1 who has personal and social support needs.

Throughout the year

How long will it last?

Dependent on individual need (approximately from 20-40 weeks)
