About the service

Nacro Creekside Foyer Homelessness Prevention service helps young people who are homeless, or at risk of becoming homeless, to find alternative solutions. The service is designed to raise awareness of the realities of homelessness and to help young people find stable housing, by providing support programmes tailored to individual needs.

We provide:

  • advice on housing options and support with applications for social housing
  • a mediation service to help people overcome conflict with family members or partners to enable them to continue living together
  • supported housing for particular groups, including those leaving prison, those leaving care, people with mental health problems or substance misuse problems, and young pregnant women
  • support in accessing services for additional related issues, such as healthcare or drug and alcohol services

What will I get out of it?

  • the chance to move on to permanent independent living
  • help to prevent offending
  • the chance to acquire life skills
  • opportunities for training, education and employment
