About the service

Nacro Boston Training Lincs Foundation Learning Programme is for young people who want to develop new skills and progress into work, an apprenticeship or college. We’ll give you the confidence and the qualifications you need to achieve your potential and get ahead.

What will I get out of it?

We’ll help you work towards accredited qualifications and find work experience placements in areas of work which interest you. You’ll get full support and guidance from our trainers every step of the way. We can offer you qualifications in:

• English, maths and ICT
• preparation for work
• sport and teamwork
• health and safety
• horticulture, childcare, mechanics, business administration, customer service and cooking
• personal and social development
• drugs, alcohol and sexual health awareness

You’ll develop new skills, including:

• communication skills
• how to write a CV
• interview skills and other job-related skills
• practical skills such as DIY
• decision-making skills

These skills and qualifications will help improve your chances of finding and keeping work.

What else?

• Up to £30 a week through EMA.
• Help with travel expenses.
• A CSCS card for the construction industry.
• The chance to take part in activities relating to equality and diversity, healthy living, confidence building and independent living.
• The chance to meet new people and make new friends.

Participants must be between: 16 and 18

The project is open to anyone:

• not in education or employment
• available for 12-30 hours a week
• committed to getting a job, apprenticeship or going to college
