About the service

Nacro Blackpool Floating Support will help soon-to-be tenants to learn skills needed to maintain a tenancy and manage a home.

What will I get out of it?

You will be visited in your own home by our 'floating support' staff. For the first 4 weeks, this will be at least on a weekly basis by arrangement.

Support is available weekdays from 9am to 5pm.

You will be allocated a Project Worker and will have your needs assessed using Nacro’s Resettlement and Support Programme. Where appropriate, specialist support agencies will be involved in this. The nature of the support provided by staff will vary according to the individual needs and covers the following areas:

  • help with claiming Housing Benefit and welfare benefits, assistance with budgeting and basic domestic skills
  • assistance with claiming grants
  • information on local services i.e.education, training and voluntary work opportunities
  • help to access & maintain accommodation

You will be encouraged to get involved in our events.
