About the service

We help marginalised young people to find constructive activities and develop their skills through volunteering. The service is designed to boost the skills and confidence of young people who might otherwise be getting into trouble by matching them to placements and supporting them through the experience. We provide:

  • a wide variety of volunteer roles, from football coaching to providing one-to-one support to learners
  • support in thinking through the available options
  • training and ongoing development opportunities
  • advice in transferring from volunteering to paid work

What will I get out of it?

  • Training days to develop confidence and self esteem, communication skills and working in a team.
  • Accredited courses available (Youth achievement awards, V 50 award).
  • Expenses paid for travel.
  • The chance to meet other young people with similar experiences and learn from each other.
  • The opportunity to be heard and fully supported, and make a difference in the community.
  • Opportunity to improve personal development and employability.
