About the service
Nacro Stockport Family Intervention Project helps parents to care for their children effectively and to avoid offending. The service is designed to support parents with children at risk of offending, by helping them develop parenting skills, and support in overcoming challenges.
We provide:
- engaging activities to help develop parenting skills
- information and support in accessing services and benefits
- one-to-one and group support to help tackle specific problems
- links with other agencies
What will I get out of it?
- intensive support on a one-to-one and group basis, with a specialist support worker acting as the sole point of contact for you and your family
- a full assessment of the needs of your whole family, with a contract outlining our expectations of the family and the support Nacro will provide
- a package of co-ordinated activities such as parenting courses and cognitive behaviour sessions designed to meet your specific needs
- access to workshop and group activities including topics such as communication skills, anger management, tenancy sustainment and building self-esteem
