About the service

Nacro Hurst Young Peoples Project 24 Hour Housing helps young, single, homeless people to access good supported housing and more permanent housing. The service is designed to support young people to develop the necessary skills for independent living.

We provide:

  • a resettlement plan tailored to individual needs
  • training and support to develop independent living skills
  • help with claiming benefits, accessing services and finding work
  • support to access and maintain tenancies in independent accommodation

What will I get out of it?

  • support with housing and welfare benefits, assistance with budgeting and basic domestic skills
  • aupport with finding more independent accommodation
  • information on local amenities
  • assistance with employment and voluntary work opportunities
  • initial support where practical when moving to independent accommodation

Type of service: Housing provision

Participants must be between: 16 and 21

  • young, single men and women aged 16-21
  • those in need of initial support but capable of living independently in self-contained accommodation
