About the service

Nacro Bolton Entry to Employment helps young people to break down barriers that prevent them from progressing into education, training or employment. The service is designed to prepare young people to move into further education, apprenticeships or employment by offering them training and qualifications in areas including literacy & numeracy, health & safety, equality & diversity and personal and social development.

We provide:

  • clear information and guidance on job and training options
  • support to help overcome barriers that are stopping people from working or training
  • support to improve employability skills and gaining qualifications
  • working in conjunction with Connexions and other relevant outside agencies to help finding opportunities including work placements and college courses
  • access to the Education Maintenance Allowance

What will I get out of it?

  • improved motivation, confidence and communication skills
  • a chance to develop your basic and/or key skills
  • knowledge, skills and understanding through opportunities to sample different work and learning contexts
  • opportunities to gain practical skills in motor vehicles, joinery, painting & decorating, sporting activities, cooking, arts & crafts
  • lifeskills
  • opportunities to gain qualifications in: Literacy, numeracy, ABC motor vehicle, health & safety, food hygiene, sports & fitness, Duke of Edinburgh
