About the service
The Bridge Project is an alternative to short-term custodial sentences.
Programme offenders are referred by the courts or the probation service to serve a maximum 30 days requirement completed over a period equivalent to the custodial sentence with one-to-one mentoring support from a Bridge mentor.
We provide:
- mentoring support
- help to tackle issues such as housing, benefits, education, employment amd substance misuse
- support to avoid re-offending
What will I get out of it?
- accredited ICT and life skills
- access to advice and guidance from Nacro mentors who can access and signpost other support.
- increased motivation and self-esteem, which helps to reduce re-offending
