About the service

Nacro Upton Vehicle Mechanics Foundation Learning Programme is for young people who want to develop new skills and progress into work, an apprenticeship or college. We’ll give you the confidence and the qualifications you need to achieve your potential and get ahead.

What will I get out of it?

We’ll help you work towards accredited qualifications. You’ll get full support and guidance from our trainers every step of the way. We can offer you qualifications in:

• motor vehicle mechanics (IMI awards and ABC awards)
• Workskills (accredited by Edexcel)
• personal and social development (accredited by ABC)
• health and safety (British Safety Council)
• functional skills, eg, in English, maths and ICT

You’ll develop new skills, including:

• interview skills
• reading and writing skills
• communication skills
• confidence building skills
• teamwork skills
• how to write a CV and complete job application forms
• how to search for a job

These skills and qualifications will help improve your chances of finding and keeping work.

• committed to getting a job, apprenticeship or going to college
