About the service

Nacro Osmaston Family Project offers a variety of family support services centred on strengthening families and supporting the local community.

We provide:

• Ofsted registered pre-school provision that works within the early years foundation stage providing places for 32 children aged 2-3 years

• outreach family support in own homes and one-to-one support at the project including evenings and weekends

• advice and support on a wide range of issues including managing children’s behaviour and child development

• information and support to access other services in the area

• parenting courses including handling teenage behaviour, common assessment framework and a safeguarding children course

• an Ofsted registered crèche to enable parents/carers to access courses

• family activities and events during school holidays

• a baby and child health clinic in partnership with the Derby NHS and other agencies

What will I get out of it?

• personalised learning, development and care to help children get the best possible start in life

• the chance to improve parenting skills, promote positive family relationships and build confidence and self-esteem

• the opportunity to explore current child protection and safeguarding issues
