About the service

Nacro Derby Extended Hours Supported Housing helps ex-offenders or those at risk of offending access accommodation with regular support. The service is designed to support individuals back into the community and into permanent accommodation.

We provide:

  • a resettlement plan tailored to individual needs
  • training and support to develop independent living skills
  • help with claiming benefits, accessing services and finding work
  • support to access and maintain tenancies in independent accommodation

What will I get out of it?

  • independent living
  • ability to manage a personal budget and claim the right benefits
  • raised self esteem and confidence levels
  • education, work and training opportunities
  • the ability to manage drug, alcohol and mental health issues

Type of service: Housing provision

Participants must be between: 16 and 65

Ex-offenders or single homeless people who require low to medium level support and are willing to engage in a support plan with a key worker.

a maximum of 2 years

Via probation, a resettlement officer within a prison, substance misuse agencies and mental health support agencies.
