About the service

Nacro Chesterfield Foundation Learning Programme is for young people who want to develop new skills and progress into work, an apprenticeship or college. We’ll give you the confidence and the qualifications you need to achieve your potential and get ahead.

What will I get out of it?

We’ll help you work towards accredited qualifications and get practical experience in areas of work which interest you. You’ll get full support and guidance from our trainers every step of the way. We can offer you qualifications in:

• hair and beauty
• customer service in the salon
• functional skills, eg, in English, maths and ICT
• sport and fitness
• preparation for the armed forces
• health and safety
• personal and social development

You’ll develop new skills, including:

• interview skills
• reading and writing skills
• communication skills
• how to write a CV
• how to search for a job

These skills and qualifications will help improve your chances of finding and keeping work.

• Up to £30 a week and cash bonuses through EMA.
• Help with your travel expenses.
• The chance to take part in activities relating to media, sport, fitness, confidence and independent living.
