About the service

Nacro Peterborough Alternative Learning & Support Programme (ATLAS) is an alternative educational provision. This programme is designed to support young people who have experienced problems with formal school educational structures or have fallen out of education for other personal reasons.

We provide:

  • individual personal development for 14-16 year old students
  • an alternative and flexible approach to education, designed to meet young people's ability and support needs
  • vocational training, short accredited courses and key skills.
  • a comprehensive initial assessment interview and a full induction programme
  • a personalised education plan that includes information regarding attainment, attendance, behaviour, special educational needs and a pastoral support plan

What will I get out of it?

  • increased self-esteem, confidence and social skills
  • increased motivation and life skills
  • qualifications in areas such as: key skills, health and safety certificate Level 1, child development, hairdressing, mechanics, sport, mentoring, resolving conflict and parenting.
  • the opportunity to participate in a work experience placement
