About the service

Nacro South Bedfordshire Sports Project helps young people who have become disengaged with school to return to learning or move on to work. The service is designed to offer alternatives to mainstream education, by running flexible programmes that provide the most appropriate package for each individual.

We provide:

  • imaginative activities designed to inspire and excite participants through formal and informal learning
  • encouragement to return to mainstream learning or move on to other learning opportunities

What will I get out of it?

  • increased confidence and self esteem
  • skills to work as part of a team and support your peers
  • a chance to join in with positive acttivities
  • the opportunity to get coaching and sports leader awards

Type of service: Sports and other activities

Participants must be between: 13 and 19

  • young people aged 13 to 19 who are at risk of dropping out of school or are not in education, training or employment

Open service, young people can just join in with sessions. Other services know of the sessions and encourage them to attend.
