      <title>Nacro Power of One</title>
      <description><![CDATA[Nacro Power of One Project helps young people to find alternatives to antisocial behaviour, gangs and offending. It is a three month boot-camp course which gives young people the chance to train like a professional combat athlete in the most exciting, fastest growing sport in the world, Mixed Martial Arts. 

Our aim is to deliver a unique, progressive and intense exercise programme, incorporating functional fitness and mixed martial arts in order to help reduce offending, strengthen character and build respect and discipline for young people with challenging behaviour or an offending history.]]></description>

      <description><![CDATA[Nacro Services Derbyshire (Somercotes and Chesterfield) helps young people who have become disengaged with school or who benefit from alternative educational provision. We provide:

* imaginative activities designed to inspire and excite participants through formal and informal learning, such as our Air League Project (working with the RAF & Air League to mentor young people through an accredited  programme of behavioural change, confidence building and learning to fly a glider!, ‘Jigsaw’:  a 2-day alternative education carousel of vocational & enrichment taster sessions  and the Nacro Inspire Project; an accredited programme of Introduction to Youth Work where young people are inspired to become peer mentors & trainee youth workers themselves. 
* work and assessment processes based on practical skills and emotional literacy. 
* the option to return to mainstream learning or to move on to other learning opportunities such as Foundation Learning,  college and apprenticeships.
* opportunities for personal development, enabling them to communicate more effectively with a range of people and work effectively as a team 
* a range of opportunities for accredited learning & gaining qualifications, from Entry level to Level 2. Our subjects include Functional Skills, Maths, English, ASDAN CoPE and other ASDAN courses, Digital Music Production, Sports & Fitness including Sports Leader Awards and creative arts.

      <title>Nacro HMP Liverpool Resettlement Advice Service</title>
      <description><![CDATA[Nacro Resettlement Advice Service assists men who are serving custodial sentences in HMP Liverpool to manage the transition from custody to living in the community. The service is designed to offer practical and emotional support to ensure that these offenders’ basic resettlement needs are met. The aims of the service are to:

* Provide in-depth guidance and support service to eligible prisoners, including advice on consumer rights, health and education.
* Assist prisoners to manage their finances through advice, support and training about debt and budgeting. 
* Advocate prisoners’ interests in disputes with creditors, e.g. on holding action and write-offs, rent and arrears, housing benefits, overpayments, bankruptcy and negotiations with utility suppliers.
* Furnish support and practical assistance to prisoners with housing problems, including repossession, eviction, tenancy rights and homelessness.
* Help prisoners maintain family ties through guidance and support with issues such as divorce, separation, child contact, child support and residency.
* Negotiate with employers re. job security and offer advice on employment rights and responsibilities.
* Assist with queries regarding solicitors, legal actions, magistrate court proceedings and issues regarding prison process.
* Maintain and manage the 'Insider' programme. ‘Insiders’ are volunteer prisoners providing a peer-to-peer mentoring service throughout the prison.]]></description>
