Two Lincolnshire project workers are to walk 40km across the South Downs in May to raise money for Nacro Lincolnshire Floating Support Services.

Michelle Howard and Michele Thompson are taking part in the Just Walk event, where they will be joined by walkers from across the UK. It’s a sponsored one day walk, for anyone wanting to fundraise for the charity of their choice.

Just Walk is hosting a number of different walks catering for all abilities, from 10k to 60k. It offers enthusiastic walkers the chance to experience a breathtaking walk over the picturesque South Downs in West Sussex.

Nacro Lincolnshire Floating Support Services aims to help people that may need support, advice and guidance to live independently.

The funds raised will be used to create a pot of money which will be available to service users to help them address rent arrears. They will then establish an agreed repayment plan with the landlord to clear outstanding debts.

Michele Thompson says: “Many people would benefit from this pot as it could give them the opportunity to move on to successful, sustainable and settled lives. We therefore ask everybody to sponsor us and give generously. If you’re in the area on the day come along and support us with your cheers. They would be greatly received.”
