What’s Nacro’s fundamental approach to reducing crime?

We know that many people who get in trouble with the law are disadvantaged and socially excluded. Helping people access basic services, such as housing and training, and support with practical skills such as paying bills, offers them the best possible chance of turning their lives around.

Our preventive and resettlement services are designed to tackle the social causes of crime and deal with offenders and ex-offenders in ways that are most likely to stop re-offending, repair relationships and promote rehabilitation. As well as training in practical skills, we provide opportunities for personal development and empowerment, to help people achieve their full potential in our society.
